I watched a house hunters episode last night of Maui where a couple was offered a 300 sq ft guest house on a lot with the main house 1 bed 1 bath efficiency for 425k. .....

imagine spending half a mill for a fukking guest house efficiency on someone elses lot.

Just go to south austin or round rock/georgetown. I just bought a super nice 4 bedroom house in georgetown for the low 200s can get a pretty ballin house for 300. Rent is not the way to go in Austin. The amount of money you make from buying right now is crazy too.
