Is there a BMI limit or height to weight ratio that a cop has to meet in order to be a cop? Doesn't seem like there is since I've ran into way too many of them that would be considered obese. How do they catch anyone? Maybe instead of defunding the cops, we should fund them with more money to physically train them.

The physical tests you have to pass to become a cop are absolutely laughable. Which explains what you just mentioned.

A dangerous and stressful job in which they are very likely to be put in situations where their (and other innocents) lives directly depend on their physical ability.

You (as a police officer) are being paid to do the job of "Protecting and Serving" the community and you're a lazy fuk who gets fat? Not only does that show you have a lack of respect for yourself, but also a lack of respect/discipline and overall regard for the duty of the career you chose to do.

They should be put on probation until they can prove they are physically fit enough to do the job......max of 6 months, then fired if they cant.

To join they have to pass a fitness test. Once they're in nothing matters anymore.

Depends on the department, but when I went through my agility test it was a good workout. It destroyed all the fatties in my testing group. Silent lols were had.

I think this makes sense. You see yourself as superior because of the hard work, dedication and discipline it takes to become fit. When you see someone who has no interest in physical prowess, you see them as inferior. You subconsciously want to attract people on the same level or higher than you on the totem pole. It has been proven by science that ugly and fat people get treated differently and I've experienced it myself as well. Whether it's the confidence you gain from losing 80 lbs or peoples perceptions of you - such is life.

I've also noticed lots of security guards are old as fuk, or obese older females.

At the local mall the average guy could probably take on 3 of their security guards at once lol

I agree. The good ones only tend to be cops for a few years then they move onto the feds, CIA, DOJ etc. They look for quick advancement opportunities and then the department has to replace those bodies again so it's a vicious cycle of not being able to retain excellent officers because they get the necessary experience and peace out.
