That's the problem. You applied at FedEx. If you wanted real benefits you should have applied at UPS. Srs though, I don't know about their policies about the masks since it's been 4 years since I last worked there. UPS drivers were 6-7 months late when it came to wearing masks but I didn't give a shyt unlike a lot of people who were probably harassing them.

it's a physically demanding job no doubt.... but tbh, i didn't mind doing it at UPS.... like i kinda touched on in the OP, UPS was way more laid back... we got breaks, they didn't give af about you listening to music, they weren't nazis about bringing in your phone.... like wtf.

yeah, i was doing package handling last year at UPS around the time the pandemic hit cuz we were getting THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of boxes of masks from China shipped in on the daily.... like i'm not even playin

but yeah, i hear u bro.... with UPS being union, it's prob gonna be better than fedex. I just didn't realize fedex was gonna be so strict about chit.... like honestly some of their policies just seem like some retarded bullchit

actually yeah breh... u go thru security going into the facility and leaving it. When i had to empty my pockets to walk in and i put my phone in the basket they handed me, she asked me if i was a package handler and i told her "yeah" and then she said phones weren't allowed. So, i asked to speak to a manager about it and had to wait for one and tried to tell him about having kids and how i really didn't like how they were expecting me to just not be able to have my phone and i tried to be like ya know, what if i had an emergency and someone was trying to get ahold of me? They didn't care.... so i was like ight, i'll go back to my truck and put my phone up.... so i went to my truck and just left srs

So a private company has employee rules you think you're above so you quit? Maybe you shouldn't have had kids.

I have a no phone policy at work as well. I don't actually care if you just have it on you for emergencies etc.. But if I catch people sitting there gawking at there phone non stop I will tell them to leave it in their cars. And if I see it again = fired

Can't even tell you how much time is wasted on phones, especially by younger people

In your mid 30's and quitting a job in 5 minutes b/c you can't have ear buds or keep your phone on you.

Who goes through the process of starting a job, piss test, interviews etc, wakes up and goes to his job then quits because he can’t listen to music and text on his phone. Strong work ethic.
