How would the past year have played out if Covid didn’t happen?

2020 was shaping up to be an epic year. Olympics, eurocup, etc.

Would’ve probably found a gf and made gains in career

I made career gains. New job, 25% pay increase. Now have over 100k in savings.

Only thing covid fukd up for was the housing market... now that I have enough money to touch it.... I feel like I shouldn't with a ten foot pool.

I would have done a total 360 and switched my career path entirely. First lock down occurred the day I passed my test for said new career. From there on the company stopped hiring and started laying people off. If lock down never happened, I would have been on a rotating custom schedule with overtime, coworkers around my age, flight perks and lots of flexibility. However this would have been with a pay cut and probably 2-3 years before I reached the amount I was leaving.

Instead now I am continuing in my original field/job, started a side business that is gaining much traction due to housing demands, and got a raise at my job.

It's been a crazy as fuk how everything played out. Still kind of salty about it, but I think I will be alright.

WW3 in Iran. It took USA like 6 weeks to reach Bagdad. So I would call it 30 weeks to reach Tehran due to Iran being mountainous and stuff.
