Mirin my weighted push up set up?

Felt great with ssb. Doesn't slide all over the show like with having a dip belt. Just gotta keep core, glutes tight and pack my chin.

Felt amazing pump in pecs despite the load (no homo)

Will progressivley overload slowly over time

Bro I honestly was skeptical of this because of that exact thought, but when I put the bar (50lbs roughly) it felt light as a feather. I guess because I was packing my neck. I'm no fool though, I know I won't be able to handle too much load. I'll keep the rep range in the 10-12 range and increase by 1 to 2lbs for progress. Got them micro plates.

Looks good nice creative set up, I always do weighted push ups with a 20kg/45lbs plate on my back but because I'm in an awkward position its hard to progressively overload.

Cool setup. I do these on an elevated surface (three chairs) with a dip belt with plates, but this definitely gives me some new ideas!

Mirin brah. But make sure you also incorporate some pullups so you don't get any muscle imbalances. I think these pullups with pair perfectly with those push ups

A backpack loaded with weights could work too when it's time.

That's exactly it man. I will definitely take what AshWar said and to be careful, but that 50lbs when bracing properly felt like F all. Could potentially over time get to 135lbs or so. We will see !

Thanks mate - I tried that too bro but the weight sways despite how short the chain is : ( - I get a deep stretch thanks to the dip bars however.

Thanks mate - I always do weighted pull ups, weighted rack chins, weighted inverted rows and seal rows.

Yeah I tried that initially, was a **** to put on and take off : ( but it's still in option. Will report back over time what happens with the ssb. I'll be careful and mindful of it.

Good range of motion, lower back should be flat, train hollow body to know what that is...but it is good you consider your core and glutes for push ups (do it for every bodyweight movement and any applicable weight training). Not a fan of going wide, but I think your elbows are pointed mostly rear so that should be fine. You do go down enough that you are in the position of retraction, which is more than a lot of guys do. Remember, especially if you go heavy on it, when you are in the position of retraction doing a push movement, you must always be protracting and depressed. Being strong and knowing what you are doing with your scapular (and rotator) will go a long way in keeping your shoulders healthy.

I use a Kensui EZ Vest for weighted bodyweight traininghttps://kensuifitness.com/products/kensui-ez-vestalso have a 50lbs weighted vest with metal bars at home along with short parallettes. Most guys I see at my gym doing weighted push-ups, pull-ups and dips should stop doing that and instead first learn how to do them with good form and full range of motion. Another way to make push ups harder without adding weight is to simply lean forward till you can do it with your feet off the ground.....planche.

Hmmm - a bit pricey tbh... I'll consider it though.

Lol it's fine. I'm more skeptical about what AshWar said but even so, I'm positioning myself and bracing carefully and will add load accordingly
