Anything more poverty than fish and chips?

It seriously has to be the most poverty of all foods. Some cheap ass fish that’s tasteless so you put some vinegar on it just to give it flavor and calling fries chips just sounds so dumb.

I don't get the appeal of "fish and chips" I mean its okay, but i'm not going to waste a meal on childrens fingerfood.

besides i've never been a fan of the batter its fried in. Its always too thick and there's never enough fish

Have you ever had proper fish and chips? It's not finger food and you can get a huge piece of fish.

"Asia" has fine fish and chips. Third world countries probably don't unless you're careful about the place you order from. Usually the ones locals can't afford.

I forget the details, but I follow many expats and live I there for 1 month per year, they have said the fish dont come from the best of waters if I recall. Ill have to look into it again.
