US brahs what's the second most popular sport, basketball or baseball?
I heard some stuff a while back about baseball declining in popularity especially among younger generations, but also that NBA ratings are at an all time low due to PC bull**** that a lot of the players buy into.
Which is more popular? Or does it depend on what state you live in and whether you're inner city or suburban?

Starting weight 130lbs
Current stats: 6"2, 210lbs.
The 8th and final rule: If this is your first night at Gym Club....... you have to squat.

I think basketball has overtaken baseball.

Nobody under the age of 35 watches baseball anymore but baseball fans actually care about the games. Most basketball fans don't even watch the games, this is evident from their chit tier analysis, and just watch highlights, trade deadline and twitter beefs. I say all this as someone who quit watching baseball 10 years ago and still loves basketball

That said, baseball is still being overtaken in popularity.

Baseball is a regional thing and is the goat in person experience.
Nothing beats a warm summer evening game at Wrigley, fenway or Yankee stadium
Young sloots everywhere in the beer gardens(its insane)
Zero percent chance a bulls game is more popular to attend and socialize than a cubs game in Chicago
Baseball tv regional ratings are actually strong too
The older I get the more baseball I'm watching. As millennial age they will match more baseball since most of us remember the glory 90s era when we played little league and watched Griffey bonds and McGuire hit bombs.

Last time I checked baseball was still more popular than basketball.
Over the past decade, basketball had been rising sharply and baseball had been declining but I don't believe basketball has taken over.
I think more recently basketball has stalled but baseball is still declining.

I don't know. Probably basketball is more popular. In my family baseball is much more popular than basketball. The nephews attend baseball games often. When they were younger they played the sport on various teams.
When it comes to money it seems baseball players are paid more than basketball players. If I was talented enough to play pro sports I'd want to be a baseball player with its higher pay and potentially long playing career.
Here of late though I have read that more Americans have stopped watching sports due to all the politics. My guess is that fewer American viewers, will not change sports being involved in politics though.
Basketball seems to be gaining a good following in China here of late too.

Basketball. More hype.
What would you rather see? A nice clean homerun, or Vince Carter putting his nuts in someone's face as he dunks over them?
