Tips on going out solo/building life in a new area

Need srs help.

- 28
- 1000 miles from home
- gf died last year, friends i made here moved away
- was recluse who just spent time working last year.

Finally started going out, ive made a bunch of boomer friends easy, cuz boomers typically have thee same views as me.

There are a bunch of breweries near me, but most of it is seated. I feel weird just grabbing a drink and sitting down with a group of randos, especially if they clearly came together.

Cant really say im "new" to the area, its just my social life evaporated.

I think boomers and older people are just overly friendlier due to different social skills or maybe they're just loners?

It's weird as hell that any country I go to that somehow middle aged and grandparent types love me but I can barely get a 2nd look from anyone under 30.

I'd find a hipster bar. But as a guy whose social life has all but disappeared during COVID as well, it's fuking impossible to get things back together.

I'd recommend moving to a apartment downtown if there's a more social building somewhere. Those typically help.
