Australia has zero Michelin star restaurants!!

Guess throwing some shrimp on the Barbie with a slab of kangaroo pouch is not fine dining.

I just don't get how people afford to travel in Australia or eat out. I remember seeing the cheapest housing option was like $1,500 for a room (sharing bathroom and kitchen) in some random 3rd tier city that no foreigner has heard of.

Would be worth it if Australian chicks are hot and slutty but aren't they all British? And I remember GPS spoofing to Australia on Bumble and not getting any decent leads.

Not every country employs the Michelin star rating. Not sure that Australia has, but as of 2020 Canada doesn't either.

And it took up until 2005 for the US to adopt it too (as far as I know).

So...who cares?

I went to Aus for 3 months during their winter. 1st month I lived in a 3 bdrm condo for 240 a week for the room and the condo was one of the nicest places I've ever lived. Next 2 months were spent between air bnb and backpacker hostels. Get an airbnb for a week would be like 500, and hostel rooms were 15-30 a night. Honestly their supermarkets are unbelievable and the food wasn't overall expensive. Depending on where you eat out it was that cheap, and booze was really expensive. Like expensive to where a beer at the bar is the same as liq store. But I will say if you shopped around, you could find a back store in the city that would have items for cheap. I recommend going there.

Neither does Canada. Because the Michelin guide doesn't rate in those countries.

Rich Chinese overseas engage in de facto segregation. They literally do things like create Chinese restaurants without any English menus and that's where they eat 90%+ of the time.

Australia is a cultural wasteland. We were founded too late to develop our own culture so we just take the worst of other dominate ones. Originally it was Anglo, Greek and Italian for the last 50 years it’s been American consumerism
