Need help with auto detailing!!

I'm sick of buying new microfiber cloths every time I wash my vehicle.

It takes 4 or 5 cloths to dry my truck without leaving water streaks. I tried washing the cloths after using them so that I can re-use them the next time, but once they're washed they don't absorb water at all. They just streak it across my black paint, which then dries and leaves ugly water warks.

Microfiber cloths are expensive as fuk for one time use! what do you guys use to dry your vehicles, and what am I doing wrong?

get a leaf blower then finish off with a micro fiber towel

I've been using this since 2018, works great. You could also just buy Kirkland MFs and use something like Griot's Speed Shine on your final drying pass to reduce the streaking. Just remove the tags from the towels, wash them first to remove the fabric softener and you should be set. People claim you need to buy premium MFs but I've never had an issue with marring w/these.

You have to stop using softener.
Only use detergent on 60 or 90 degrees celsius.
You should preferably throw them in the dryer as well to get the fluffyness back.

this

laundry detergent and softeners clog up the fibers and make them less absorbent, a hot wash with no detergent and some vinegar added should help make them more like new
