Woman brings "I'm getting a divorce" in her text...

Honestly that threw me through a small confusion because I'm not sure what she meant by it.

She said " I’m going through a divorce so if you’d rather not meet I would get it"

Why would she say that?

I was just under the impression I was getting coffee with her on a friends basis.
