How can I make an additional $1k a month? (reps)
Srs. I have a company vehicle I can use personally including a fuel card. I have a 1.5 year old truck I love that costs about a grand a month w/ insurance (it’s a 3/4 ton Cummins). I can sell it right now for $5500 above what I owe (great deal, I get a check and I’m out from under the note).
I am going to sell it unless I can come up with a way to earn an extra 1k/mo so that it isn’t impacting my 24 month payoff plan on my mortgage. Starting tomorrow I’m throwing $5k a month at principal on my house.
Any suggestions Misc? Will rep. Dead fkn srs

Lmao at 1k/mo truck payment.
Can't you use it to haul junk or mow lawns? Plowing in the winter can be lucrative if you get some parking lot contracts.
Or g4p.

Mobile disco? DJ Peasant?
or you could pull up at nightclubs and dance in the back of your truck wearing only a g-string.
You could put some lights and maybe a disco ball in the back of the truck.
or a wildcard, become a stand up comedian. Call yourself TEX because.. well, you know, Texas and all that. Make jokes about American things and how Americans love BIG things, like big fucin trucks. You could tell everyone about your truck and how it costs 1k/mth and it is called "convoy" and they will all laugh because you are using a collective term for a single vehicle and paying 1k/mth for it.

Why are you trying to pay off your home? What's your interest rate, fixed 30 year?
Assuming the above is anywhere below 5%, you are significantly better off reinvesting the money you would have used to pay down the loan. At 3% fixed, you are just barely above inflation by the end of your term essentially costing you nothing substantial in interest.
You can easily hit 7+% on most index funds. Even if you did nothing else but invest in VTSAX, you'd have made substantially more in the long run. Hundreds of thousands of dollars more.

In short, write down what you can do and then match your skills to a market need.
