if you get covid and survive isnt that like getting the vacccine?

the brother, his wife and two twin boys got it

so if they recover then they got all the antiodies to fight off the virus in the future right?

My lib friends told me that just getting sick isn't enough. The antibodies don't last. 'There are cases of people getting covid multiple times.' The shot is necessary. As are the annual boosters. Pepper your angus.

There's a lot of possibilities here. You could

Get covid, then get the vaccine
Get the vaccine, then get covid
Get covid, then the vaccine, then covid again
Get the vaccine, then get covid, then get the vaccine again
...

I think the virus replicates fast enough that no matter what the immune system has somewhat of a battle, and its somewhat contagious (saw day 12 as the point when the vaccine lowers the viral load below non-vaccine).

How long are you good for after getting covid? Does the vaccine protect you for the same amount of time?
