In a team sport do you believe you have to

win the ring to be considered or thought of as the greatest at your position?

instance barry sanders never won a super bowl ring but how can he not be looked at as a top 3 running back of all time?

same for dan marino at QB.

In games like football it doesn't matter cuz you need great passing running and defense to win a ring where one player can only impact 1/3 of the game.

I would say the only sport you get a pass on Championships is Baseball.

It matters in basketball because there are 5 guys on the court and it’s the most individually driven team sport

Football. It’s part of a big picture. But it’s not even close to the end all be all like some like to believe. Eli has 2 rings Marino has 0.

Baseball nobody cares. Bonds, Griffey, Ted Williams etc. Nobody holds it against them
