Tested Positive For High Arsenic (Srs)
They were really high. I think double the max level and the other measure was really high too. Dont remember the actual numbers but dr said they are trying to book an appointment with another doctor to see me about it.
anyone gone through this?
definitely stopping rice for now and maybe whey. no tap water
kind of scared.
my copper / ceruplasmin was a bit low too which I believe was from taking zinc long term. gives the same symptoms but ive been takin copper supps and it seems to help.
not sure if my problems were from the arsenic or both.. but dang
really hope I can naturally lower this and resolve symptoms and that no permanent damage has been done

I had (may still have) high mercury. Look up Chris Shade on youtube. Don't buy his overpriced products but his info is very good.
If you have toxic levels, there is a source. Everyone has a small amount from food, the air etc, but if you have very high levels there's some culprit (and I don't think its from not clearing normal exposure).

my levels of ceruplasmin (copper stores) were lower than normal range 1 week after stopping zinc and adding copper but apparently not by too much.
it may or may not be a problem but i wouldnt bother messing with high levels of zinc unless you get optimal levels of copper to balance it out. but even then.. we arent doctors so its always a risk.
my arsenic levels however.. are dangerously high. probably is more likely the issue now that I think of it..
but at the same time.. i tried to stop taking supps for a day to see what happened and the symptoms seemd stronger towards the end of the day. so copper helpd with symptoms *shrug*. thats why im gonna keep taking for now.
my feritin was pretty low as well for a long time.

Dafaq rice has arsenic? I thought you just washed it to make the texture better. Half the time I don't even wash it just because I'm lazy.

I'd say work on fixing your gut biome. I've been recommending baked beans and kefir milk
Looks like from that first study Faecalibacterium prausnitzii is the gut bacteria you want to focus on restoring
The rationale for selecting this particular taxon is as follows: Faecalibacterium is one of the most abundant and commonly identified taxa in the gut microbiome of healthy humans, of which F. prausnitzii is the only named species. F. prausnitzii contributes to butyrate and other short-chain fatty acid production in the gut19, and a reduction in F. prausnitzii has been associated with a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease20, colorectal cancer21,22, and Clostridium difficile infection23. Analysis of F. prausnitzii genomes (NCBI) revealed the presence of an iAsIII S-adenosylmethyltransferase gene, arsM, in at least some genomes, which encodes a well-known methyltransferase involved in microbial arsenic detoxification24. A Faecalibacterium OTU was detected in the microbiome of 36 out of the 44 humanized mice; it was present at both days (0 and 7) across all donor groups; and was abundant, ranging from 0.01% to 5.3% of normalized reads. Survival modeling (both presence/abundance and abundance analyses) identified this OTU to be significantly associated with survival at both days 0 and 7 (Fig. 5, Supplementary Fig. 4). Finally, F. prausnitzii is already marketed as a human probiotic, thus providing a clear connection to human health. The combination of results from previous studies, results from humanized mice, the potential for production of an arsenic-active enzyme(s), and current marketability led us to hypothesize that F. prausnitzii provides protection against arsenic toxicity.
