Who here is microsoft excel expert

For the new job I will have to know microsoft excel pretty well. I mean I would work as a hotel receptionist or store salesman so how much excel should I know so they could hire me?

I have been learning for two days now I havent bothered to learn it before because I found it boring.

So basically how much should I know and how long will it take me to learn decent amount?

I mean Im interested in a lot of things but I have never really shown interest in excel like I said I found it boring but idk its not that bad tbh I did some basic formulas, statistics,charts now so Im a beginner

I don't use it much other than tracking workouts so not aweir of the complexities.

Pivot tables, vlookup, sumif, sumifs, maybe index and match. They aren't likely to want anything else

depends on the job.

if this is an actual business intelligence or analyst role at a big company, you might be fcked, you won't be able to pretend your way through the interview if they want you automating reports, creating macros/writing VBA, using some of the more powerful add-on tools.

lmao this. maybe if you were the manager and you needed excel to track the budget. or you are a data analysis and you need excel to do statistics for you. like creating a regression formula. Or generating box and whisker plots. Imposing a second variable on the horizontal axis on your bar chart. idk OP brah there's a lot of things to learn on excel. there's also much more powerful softwares that can do in 2 clicks what takes 5 steps in excel.

just start completing the built-in Excel tutorials, they are interactive and pretty fun, srs. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered them last year
