So back in November I started noticing a lot of hair in the shower, I just attributed it to the fact I had been growing the top of my head out for almost a year, and I would pick it out in the shower so I just figured just loose hair falling out. But then I started noticing that the corners of my hairline were shorter than the rest, and then my friend pointed it out in early January and I was like fck I really am balding, I never thought it’d happen to me. My dad’s hair didn’t fall out nor has his hairline receded, my uncles on both side all good hair. But then I realized my older brother hairline was destroyed.

So in mid January I started using Finasteride, minoxidil, Jamaican black castor oil mixed with peppermint essential oil, derma rolling once a week, and using the shampoo nizoral. My hairline is basically back to normal. Although it’s still a little thin, but I believe by the end of the year even that will be taken care of. Barely any hair when I shower now.

In the end you have to be proactive when you first notice it.

Mine just started going back a few months ago. Hair almost feels painful to touch in the standard male pattern baldness areas. Also oily. Seems to go away when I apply azelaic acid. Minoxidil alone doesn't work, or it does but only sometimes. Dermal rolling alone doesn't seem to work either, I think its the DHT. Read that it inhibits skin healing also. I think keeping DHT low is the first step, then regrowth can happen with derma rolling and minoxidil.

Fin is blocking about 70% of DHT (specifically 5-alpha-reducatage type 2) on the scalp and RU-58841 applied topically is blocking testosterone..... It's doing a good job of stopping hair loss but I haven't seen noticeable regrowth yet.

June will be the 1 year mark for Fin and 6 month mark for RU-58841.

We'll just have to wait and see....
