Yeah I’m pretty sure.

Everyone dogged him because he just ripped off copyrighted material, but ended up getting away with it I guess.

Good for him

Good for him but how the hell did Gymshark become a multibillion dollar brand? It's literally just gym clothing, and not particularly high quality clothing like Lululemon is. I own a couple of their things I got on clearance. It's OK clothing but I'd never specifically go to Gymshark versus a Nike/Adidas shirt that's cheaper or similarly priced

I’m pretty sure it’s super popular in Europe because He got in early on having hot Instagram ho’s wear his sht and post pics. Took a chance and it paid off big time.

Maybe I should go start GymEagle next.

Meanwhile we are all here, poorcels, talkin chit and homeboy is legit worth more than the combined net worth of the misc @ 28.

I’d say he’s having the last laugh.

That's probably what it is, you're right. He might have caught on to the trend of paying "influencers" to wear and promote chit on instagram before the big boys did. It's seems like that's also why bullchit like Bang Energy & "Boutine LA" or whatever are so popular too. Repped.

I thought it was supposed to be them really capitalizing on the initial fitness influencers/fake natties on instagram that were a new generation to reach a huge audience

Good for him, though he isnt worth 1.5B. He sold the company for that much but he didnt get 1.5B himself. Elon Musk sold Paypal for 1.5 B but his net from that was about 100M iirc.

He hasnt sold the company, its just valued at that much.

He probably isnt a billionaire yet he would be close. He is still the majority shareholder. I believe he still owns like 70% of the company. Elon was probably a tiny shareholder by time paypal got sold. Yeah jjst checked elon only owned 11% thats why he only got $100m.

If this guy fully sells gymshark he would pocket like a $billion given he owns 70%.

Definitely this. Couldn't understand it when a buddy of mine got it. Of course, he would tell me nothing else feels the same, and it's great, etc. etc. Buyer's remorse.

Also this.

Although I can't fathom what makes it special, you have to give him his dues for finding a way to make it work. He found people willing to pay, and marketed to them.

I will just stick to Nike/Adidas and the odd UA shorts here and there.
