I had to give a commemorative speech at my public speaking class recently. We got to pick our own topics. Everyone picked idols, those who motivate us, people who lead by example, etc.

Several people chose to give their speech about coffee. Talking about how vital it is to their personhood, how satisfying it is, how they "can't go without it" and whatever. Isn't is just a ****ing drink? Why the **** are people so passionate about it? I have known a lot of people over the years who are fanatical about the stuff, too. Women in online dating putting "coffee snob" on their profile. Co-workers putting that Garfield "not without my coffee!" **** in their cubicles.
