So Saturday I drove 5hrs from my home state to go see him, I ended up getting there at 3pm. I had told him I’d leave my place at 5am, but my cousin’s car broke down so I had to go pick him up 1.5hrs away. I brought my cousin to help my little brother move into he’s new apartment.

Anyway, my cousin helps him, and we go to our hotel, we were supposed to go out. My little brother send me a message asking if I mind whether he and he’s gf can’t come out with us because he was still moving and he was expecting me earlier, I say to him “it’s all good man” I was pissed cause I drove 5hrs to see him.

What really pissed me off is this dude didn’t even text me on Sunday asking whether we made it back or not. Then yesterday he messages me asking if he should sell his dogecoin since it went up, I didn’t reply.
Maybe I’m in being sensitive here, but that’s not how I would’ve handled the situation if I was him. From knowing him my whole life I’m starting to come to the conclusion that he’s selfish.

Sounds like a dink move on his part knowing you drove 5 hours to see him and you guys had a plan to go out and then he flakes over some bs " my girlfriend blah blah "

To be fair, the plan that was set was for OP and cousin to arrive much earlier than they did. So i can see he has a semi legit excuse, we dont know exactly how much moving was left to do, but lets just assume its a considerable amount. The brother has a point to need to keep moving.

Someone who is not self centered would say "hey bro, i still got a ton of things to move. What if I bought a bottle of bourbon and you and cousin just came over and chilled with us while we finished moving in?"

And at a minimum a quick call on Sunday morning saying "thank you brother, i appreciate you" is all the OP is really looking for.....like any normal human.
