Misc, help me turn my life around

I'm 26 year old who's wasted a lot of his life rotting and not taking risks. I've only ever worked minimum wage retail jobs, either in customer service or cashiering. I have no real skills, and no passions outside of art and writing, neither of which I want to do as a career.

I want to make a decent salary; enough to be financially independent (I've lived with my family my entire life) and live an honest, comfortable life. Any kind of advice for skills I should try to learn, career fields I should consider, things I should do, would be greatly appreciated. I should note that I'm not totally opposed to learning a trade, but it's kind of a "last resort" for me.

Go pick one of these and go for it.

Bottom line -- nobody gets paid more than $70k for being a moron. You have to have talent, showcase it and work hard. If you want to rot and make money, don't bother because you wont ever make money. Decide how much actual work ethic you have. If you have none, you'll be making <$40k your whole life.

If you have no skills, its time to pick a career, then go to school and get the degree to get the entry.

You have already stated that you lack skills, drive and ambition so youd most likely walk off the jobsite by lunch on any tradie/apprenticeship job.

Your best bet is to try to land a local government job. But its hard to break into one without connections, most get in and sit for 40 years and collect checks.

Join a tradie union, that employs you as an apprentice while sending you to school/get certs

Or become a cop, they are hiring, make decent salary and if you don’t end up dead or in jail for murder you can retire earlyish

Court clerk isn’t bad either. 40 k a year to file papers and you get retirement

1.Make sureyou work on your spirituality/religion. This paves the way for how you live your life, the type of choices you make, and the people you will deal with.

2.Make sureyou go to college and get at least an associates. I recommend community college since it is cheaper. Make sure, while you are in school, you are learning the material that is being taught. Don't let it go in one ear and out the other. Spend the time there to learn as much as you can. Be hungry for knowledge. The goal is tobe EDUCATEDand to make yourself and your PARENTS proud. It doesn't matter if you get bad grades. Try. Where you fall short, others may help you carry your cross. Even Jesus couldn't do it by himself.

3. Go to school for something you like to do. Don't pursue a profession just because you'll make more money. There are other areas of your life that needs to be addressed, which money cannot solve.
