Looking for a career change. Always wanted to be astronaut. How hard is it?

The dirty little secret is that if you aren't at least a 7/10 lookswise you won't make the cut. Astronauts are as much PR representatives as they are scientists.

I'm in muh 40's and plan on being an astronaut going to Mars once they start, even if I have to hide in the cargo hold. I may even be the first illegal alien on Mars.

Mark and Scott Kelly are 2 ugly mother****ers. I'm sure they're great people but they are lucky if they are 2/10. They ain't no 7s. I'm sure there are other example but thats the one that came to mind.
