I'm dropping 1.5# a week on 2300-2500 calories, so maintenance for me would be like 3100-3200. 2900 daily would be a slow cut, but still a deficit nonetheless.

I used to maintain on 3.5k cals so 3k cals would have put me at a 500 cal deficit.

6'3'', 195 lbs. Very physical job + workouts.

To the brah that suggested 1900kc go **** yourself. Keeping it at 2400, no need to rush things.

Suggesting 300-500 decficit to everybody, at the end of the day moderate cuts give the best results. You may gain some strength and wont binge.

This. Also, I've lost weight at less than your activity level on 3k cals quite easily OP (10-15k steps, lifting twice per week, boxing once). You have an insanely high activity level and should be 0% surprised you can cut on 3k.

once knew a 150 lb twink that struggled to gain weight on 4K cals, 3K cals would be an extreme cut for him. He wasn't even very strong or muscular either, just fairly lean.

he had a very active job but still though, with his busy lifestyle and long hours he struggled to eat consistently. think he was destined to remain a twink.

My maintenance is like 2700, I start cutting from 2400 and make my way down to 1900. i've cut on 1600 cals b4 but workouts and your general life feels like complete chit. I think some people for whatever reason lift a finger and just burn alot of calories for whatever reason

I’m 200 lb, Sometimes 210, visible abs lean at 190. 6’2. In my 40s. Maintenance is about 3250 calories, used to be about 3500 a decade ago. I lift couple of times per week, and have couple of MMA classes weekly. Other than that I just take a couple of half hour walks weekly and do little bit of jogging or sprinting during those walks.

I cut at 3000 cals. Just I definitely have to do The classic carb refeeds these days to get some results. Straight deficit ain’t cutting it anymore.

I think most of these people are just delusional about how little they eat and wont count macros. Got this 1 friend who always claims he cant put on weight even tho he eats mcdonalds everyother day. But he wont eat anything else besides that thrash food and doesnt count macros. Mates tell me ”oh no man he eats like a horse, ****ing mc d and kebabs everyday. It must be a genetic thing” and im listening there like *facepalm*

Mmm.... 450 claories + 300 calories = 750 burned. You'll burn another 1100 just being alive so 1850 calories burned in this routine.

What are you doing to burn an additional 1800 calories?
