I think the more interesting aspects of this are if it is indeed man made but classified, then that means we've advanced a lot further than people realize. To have a craft do all this and then submerge itself in water and I suppose evade this ship/crew is impressive AF

I use to run our camera system for our planes to do patrols. Yes, that's @how it looks recorded....also, I think that is actually someone recording the screen with a cell phone and not the actual system linked to the cameras recording which is why they have any audio. Also, what they're doing is probably not in regulation or maybe it is, but either way giving details on range is a no no. You're not understanding what the range might be, it may beveryfar away. For seeing really long distance, the lens is going to be black and white and narrow. I can switch to a lens that shows color, but that lens doesn't see very far. I'm guessing you lose range if you try to make a lens/camera that also sees color. Yes, when I look at stuff that is waaaaay out there, it's low pixel. When we get closer, I get better detail...more pixels. I was almost thinking that's an IR camera and that thing is a helo. With IR, you see heat and at distance, things look like blobs/round because you are just seeing the heat. But then it went into the water.

If you look at the screen, most of the info (range, bearing, altitude, heading, lats/longs, speed) is off. I think this camera system is on a ship and probably more capable than the system I used. It's weird that the video is a recording of the screen and not the actual recording from the system. If they did this without permission, that would explain it. If they were authorized, why a recording of the screen and not the actual recorder in the system???? I know for us and no doubt for them, when I am done with the patrol, I have to sign over the CD to the officer on watch and then he/she locks it up or if deployed sign it over to our navigator and he/she locks it up on the planes safe or the FOL (forward operating location) safe.

I'm thinking these guys have seen this before and set up to record it without permission. A bird can move like that. Flying forward, looks like just hovering and dive bomb into the water. No plane does that all of a sudden. Whatever that thing is,it's far awayif I new the range I can guess the size. The point where they say "splash", it looked like that thing went suddenly down, suddenly back up and suddenly down into the water or on top. If it was fairly close, it could be a bird, except for the part where it went suddenly down and suddenly up. So I dunno, pretty interesting though

When I see videos like that, it's my first thought also. Like damn we must have some crazy tech out there that is still "classified".
