Not gonna lie it looks pretty badass, I was wondering when the day would arrive that 90s cars have classic appeal.

312 gs? No way. It's probably the rare collector value, says they only made 400.

That's the ultra-exclusive, ultra-elusive Subaru 22B, that's a very special car and quite easily the only real collectors Subaru. It was a highly limited WRC special STI with two doors and WRC bodywork with a bespoke engine and other upgrades, offered during the Colin McRae era, sold out instantly, and it's been a high priced prize for JDM and WRC fans at auctions ever since.

A lot of JDM classics from that era have been becoming real collectors items. I mean try buying a 90's era Nissan GTR.

Damn I've heard of them but never knew how rare they were. I always wanted an ST205 celica GT4 I think they made like 2500 of them if I remember correctly. They sell for around 16-18k in the states last time I checked. I wonder if those will eventually skyrocket in price.

It's also an investment. There is the commodity fetishization, but rich people also buy these things to grow their wealth. It's also kind of a gamble though if they can't resell it at a higher price, and gambling is also something that rich people like to do.

Meh I've never been a supercar fan at all. I like JDM cars and Murican cars with V8s.
These are some of my favorite cars of all time and really rare but anywhere priced close to this Subaru. Legendary 3SGTE can handle a crap ton of boost on the stock motor.

I had a dodge stealth ES/3000GT was such a fun car

Never heard of rod knock or head gasket issues.

However I let a friend drive it and he floored it miss shifting and broke the belt causing the heads to lock up, cost 3000$ to fix as it’s the 60k maintenance...

Had to do water pump, timing belt, heads had to be worked on (new lifters) plus countless other small things.


Thumb rule is never buy one at 60k/120k/180k unless it’s had its 60k maintenance done on belts/pumps

It’s actually not the technology on it for early 90s is actually out of this world for its time. They were called corvette killers for a reason back then. I paid like 2500 for the car then too but yeah that was the first and last time I ever let a friend touch my car

For sure.. me and my buddies were all ricers, so we saw some people that could “drive” do some stupid ****. Fortunately our Honda’s could take a ton of abuse lol, well other than when I was doing neutral drops in my first civic (AT) and grenaded the tranny lol
