No. I'm 26. No plans to have kids at all, though I can see it possibly entering my mind in the late thirties or into the forties. Kids seem like a potentially fun prospect if I was able to be retired first (paid off house, passive income from investments/real-estate, net worth in the $2 million+).

I agree.

I think people do it wrong in modern society. Made a big difference to have 9 children when farm labor was the thing.

I'm 37. Every friend I have that has had kids looks destroyed. They drive some chitty family car, wife has gained two dress sizes, house annihilated, generally look like they have given up on life and likely not got laid in 6mo. I work with numerous blokes who stay at the office as long as possible to avoid going home to mayhem. Das not it mayne.

Meanwhile I'm DINK (dual income, no kids) with all the time in the world and stacking the £s away. No idea why someone would do having kids to themselves, I don't hate myself enough just yet.
