BJJ? Boxing? Karate? And before you say "a little bit of everything" - ain't nobody got time for that. I just want to be able to defend myself against another man (and possibly embarrass him).

In no particular order: boxing/muay thai/wrestling

Gunkata.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

How are you brahs juggling lifting, work, family and BJJ?
I was looking into BJJ at a place just down the street from me but they did not survive the shutdown due to COVID😫

So in a street fight when some guy is punching you BJJ is going to beat him? I'm guessing they have counters to boxers?

boxing or BJJ...wrestling is obviously up there but it’s hard to find adult wrestling schools/classes
I do both boxing and BJJ..if you just want a hobby to do a couple times a week then BJJ. Boxing if you take it seriously and plan to spar. self defense is a mixture of being smart and mentally tough as it is physical. nothing will get you more mentally tough then learning how to take a punch to the face.
