Watched ‘Arrival’ for the first time

Don’t watch a lot of movies but figured I’d better start peppering my angus for the martian takeover in June.

The movie is a little trippy how it’s told...I liked it. Definitely not your typical alien movie.

Anymore good ones I should watch before June and ET slides in dry?

If you liked arrival, that director has done a bunch of other great movies. Basically everything he’s done is worth watching.

Interstellar - One of the best movies Ive ever seen. But I kinda got the same feeling as you with arrival. Defo a slow burn (which I usually love), but different. Took a couple of watches to feel it

Anyone else hoping all these movies are actually prepping us for ayyys invasion? Like how zombie movies and like Contagion was obv prepping us for the pandemic. Would be so lit

edit: Also enjoyed 10 Cloverfield Lane. Loved the entire thing how they basically had a trilogy with all that too. Also MEW Feet hnnnnngggg

As-astra was a waste of a movie.

I get what they were trying to do, but there was a lot of interesting story and world building they could have done with that cast and budget.

I liked it because it was on in the background while I was packing your mom. I’ll always associate it with the memory of her screaming for me to not stop while I planted my seed deep in those walls, srs. You can show some respeck and call me pops now.
