Dramamine Brahs GTFIH

Brahs, went on a long awaited deep sea fishing charter this week. It ended up being OK but not great. I brought home a couple haddock filets but oddly only the cod were biting for the most part, and they aren’t legal to keep.

Biggest problem was sea sickness. Not sure why but I hurled over the side 3-4 times and just didn’t feel great. I used ginger pills and sea bands but neither worked apparently.

Any brahs here use Dramamine? Does it actually work? I didn’t want to feel drowsy all day but I think it would be preferable to feeling like ass. I want to do another charter to fish for stripers later this summer and need to mitigate this sea sickness in order to have a productive trip.

Works amazingly well. Srs. I have motion induced vertigo (years and year of diving in hella cold water), to the point that a chunk of rides at fukkin disneyland will fukk my day up. I take that chit, and I can go on the gravitron at the fair lol. It does make you a little drowsy, but just have a tradie coffee (monster), and balance it out.

Thanks man. Do you take it the night before or directly before exposure to motion?

used to have real bad motion sickness

cars, planes, boats you name it

dramamine always helped

take it an hour or so before the motion sickness inducing activity but it really depends on if you have the quick or slow release

would take when getting there. I think they recommend taking it an hour or so before.
