Are you depressed about getting older?

I am 32 years old, and this is the first year that I start to feel like I am out of touch and looked upon as an older guy by the younger crowd

the town I live in is getting rebuilt as the years pass by, I sometimes wonder for example how many people have lived in the house I grew up in since we moved out when I was 11 or 12

the younger crowd (teenagers and early 20 somethings), are seeing me as a part of an older demographic (I know this because sometimes I talk to them) and it feels like people my age are getting replaced

I was never depressed about this earlier as I used to think it was cool to get older

Sort of, especially since the years keep going faster and faster/sneak up on you and you look back thinking "where the phuck did all that time go?" Then you realize soon you will be elderly and die.

Maybe the downslope of physical ability, but nah other than that getting older is going to have a lot of great perks

No but it sucks seeing parents getting older and realizing they can't do what they used to.

Not really, no.

On Sunday afternoon my 60 year old father in law pulled up at my house in his new BMW 8 series, blasting Ed Sheeran, and acts like he is forty at most and never complains about being old. He just works and plays golf all the time and seems quite content.

Yeah, I'm 25, Norwood has reaped my scalp, I've got some sort of arthritis in my hands, and my knee and shoulder are currently fukked (hopefully get those fixed in a month or so though).

Body's falling apart, and I'm feeling pretty useless.

I used to feel this way around 25. I see 25 year old people now and think "gd they're retarded".

I try keeping that in mind when I think about being 36.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Only thing that depresses me is how weak society has become and how these pussified generations will lead us into the future.
Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.
