I had it and my dad had it. It was very mild for me, but he couldn’t breathe and had to be hospitalized for almost two weeks.
We got it independant of each other.
Other than that, I don’t know anyone personally. Just friends of friends etc.

Quite a few. Three relatives around 50, one got hospitalised, other lost lung capacity, third was bedridden for quite some time. I know two who died from it but don't directly know them (a doctor and a guy in his 30s). Otherwise a lot of sick people around grandparents neighborhood

0 tested and confirmed
I know plenty of people who had all the symptoms but this was in late 2019 before the common cold became the “dreaded super corona pandemic” so they just brushed it off as a cold/ mild flu

Over a dozen, also because my kids are in school two of their friends tested positive (no symptoms though). One died, three in hospital and one in ICU who survived but is now a long hauler. Others varied from barely anything at all to being knocked out for several days but able to breathe and stay home.

The Flu? Only 2 or 3 who were back to 100% in a few days.

Two. First was a friend who experienced the loss of taste but otherwise is fine. Second is questionable. I have a great aunt in a nursing home and our family was told she had it. When we were finally able to talk to her, however, she claims she never had it. So either the nursing place lied to her to keep things calm or they're lying to families so they could mark it as a Covid death in case any of their residents pass. To this day, I still don't know whether she actually had it or not. She's also still mentally sharp so it isn't dementia or anything causing her to misremember.

I know loads of people that got it, myself and my family included. Unless you're literally living in a cave and have had 0 human contact in the past 1.5 years, I can't imagine why is this still up for debate.

More than 50.
six of them died.
More than 20 of them lost their jobs.
The rest of them have never responded to my message.
I fear the worst. I fear for my mother every day and night.
This is Tokyo I'm talking about, the government still insists our nation is doing fine comparing to the rest of the world and they still keep talking about the Olympics.

I know what you are thinkin' and I can hear you, "OK boomer!"
...and I agree.

I know a few. All had very mild symptoms except my friends GF, who is in her late 40's, and has health concerns. Also a coworker got it, was hospitalized for a few weeks. He was older, overweight and not very healthy.

Personally knew? Nobody. Srs.
Maybe a handful of friends of friends caught it, they did fine. My grandma’s 70something coworker was hospitalized for a few months. That was the worst case. Nobody I know of died.

I've only know a few people that have been diagnoses with COVID. They were older and in poor health, but thankfully they did well and experienced minor symptoms.

Most of my in laws and my grandma. My sister in law's dad had it the worst and almost died. Everyone else had flu symptoms. I'm guessing our house it last January. If that was it, felt like a 2 day flu, but nowhere near the worst I've had.
The one who almost died was in his 50's, very unhealthy, and already had issues.
