Tesla Model Y Performance vs Long Range for my step dad?
Buying my stepdad a Model Y. Initially bought the Long Range with Full Self Driving, but then decided since I can get the FSD later when its better, I decided to change it to the Performance.
He's 70 and drives a 2019 Rav4 rn. (70 but hes very alert and drives well, and works like hell)
Anyway, ride comfort came into mind, so I'm having second thoughts on the performance 21" wheels and reduced range.
Performance:
0-60 in 3.5 sec (will be fun for me to drive from time to time)
303 mi (stated) range
21" wheels (tires will wear faster) less comfy ride
Lower suspension (.5" lower ride height) but he's like 5'5"
Long Range:
0-60 4.8 sec
326 mi
19" wheels (tires last longer, softer ride
Full Self Driving upgrade now.
