I don't watch too much tv, but I figure watching a movie or two per week when time allows for it would be okay for me.
I have literally watched nothing, so all suggestions are welcome.

I’ve said it on this forum before and I’ll say it again.
Thirteen Days had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, even though I obviously knew the outcome, as did we all. My dad drove an Army Jeep for a General during the Cuban Missile Crisis and kept drilling it into my head that my generation has absolutely no idea how close we were to all out nuclear war. It wasn’t until I saw this movie that I really understood it.
I couldn’t believe how eager our military leadership was to go to war. The movie pointed out how they wanted redemption for the Bag of Pigs disaster which is just ridiculous. They thought the Kennedy’s were young and weak but they made the right call. I still don’t understand why the US was so hellbent on not wanting to give up our Jupiter missiles in Turkey in exchange for Khrushchev giving up his nukes in Cuba. Ultimately that’s pretty much what happened but I just don’t see how they only agreed to that swap at the last minute.

Guys I don't think he meant classics as a genre. Pretty sure he's just after good flicks.

A lot of good ones have been posted already, so here a few good foreign movies:
Alphaville (1965)
Branded to Kill (1967)
Le Samourai (1967)
Stalker (1979)
Shin Godzilla (2016)
Birds of Passage (2018)
These are all really good action movies and classic movies in general from France, Russia, and Japan.
