How juicy is tomorrow's inflation report going to be?

China just reported 9% in May for their producer price index.

Curious to see what kind of numbers they fudge for tomorrow's CPI report.

My guess is they report ~4.5%, with the actual number being 15-20%.

It's going to be fukked. As a Calibrah, we have statewide rent control now that allows landlords to hike rents by 5% + CPI inflation number. If I renewed today, my rent would have gone up 10% in 8 months, and that's WITH a rent cap. Who knows wtf tomorrow will bring. My complex is currently listing identical units for 13% more than what I pay.

The Fed needs to raise rates and fukking nuke this broken market.

i believe it's primarily a social security scam so the adjustments are minor

if they paid out with the 1980 adjustments, it would be instantly mega bankrupt

We just raised all of our prices 6.5% across the board. (Manufacturing) That didn't come close to covering the price increase in our raw materials so far this year.

Freight
Labor
electricity

It has all increased way more than 4%. They can try to hide it, but everyone is feeling it and it's only going to get worse.
