4100 pushups a day for 1 year

"A Wisconsin father of three accomplished one of his greatest goals – completing 1,500,231 push-ups to set a new world record for most push-ups done in a year. The best part though? It was all to raise money for the families of fallen first responders."

https://www.foxnews.com/us/wisconsin...p-world-record

Legit? Unless he's done them all on live cam or something I don't see how this could be authenticated.

Has he got a 4100 pushup a day type of body? Maybe, like marathon runners aren't thick because they're built for endurance.

YouTubers are doubting.

Guys who do crazy endurance stuff like that are generally short, wiry little fellas with 6 percent bodyfat. So much more efficient for them.

That guy screams beer and pizza watching football with the guys, not world record pushups.

Skeptical also, but good on him if true.

I'd possibly believe it if he had at least one video doing that many pushups in one day.

I don't know what any verified record is, but that seems to be a recipe for tendonitis or other repetitive stress injury.

Would love to see under his shirt to see a dad bod (no homo)

His form didn’t seem 256/hr fast

I say if he posted a live stream doing 4,100 push-ups in one day I’d give him more credibility. 11 fukkin push-ups??? I was like lmao

do the math. lets say he sleeps for 6 hours. that is 18 hours of being awake. lets say he does 4 push ups every minute(1 every 15 seconds) Thats 4320 pushups in the day.
can he honestly continue to do a push every 15/16 seconds for 18 hours straight. think about bathroom breaks, eating, can his shoulders really stay in that position that long. lactic acid build up.

doesn't seem possible at all to me (srs)

let's assume then 220 pushups an hour for 18 hours a day. every single phucking day for a year

not sure how this is at all sustainable. Is he doing 220 pushups an hour at one sitting or maybe half hour intervals? so like 110 pushups every half hour? you would think tendonitis would catch up doing that many and that you would be some low body fat twink. sure as hell probably wasn't doing it with full range of motion.

i know it's for a good cause and I'm not trying to hate on the guy, it just doesn't seem to add up for me

based on his form in the fox news video my skeptical hippo is maxed out. I highly doubt 4100 a day, i know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but no, i refuse to believe this.

It's definitely not possible. At some point you would inevitably succumb to injury/fatigue doing the same exercise over and over with such intensity over a long time period.
“Steroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Absolutely possible. When you do em something like this

You can do calisthenics in a manner where your range of motion, tempo and form is to get stronger with the full range of motion which will make you muscular. Or you can do em as easy as possible, using the least range of motion, the chit easiest form as possible, going as fast as you can so you can count more reps and be like calisthenics is so easy and it doesn't work for making me muscular because I can do 100 reps and nothing.

Absolute horsechit. Dude struggled to do NINE in the video. His form got wonky and slower in the video at he got past 5. Dude is an absolute fraud. Despicable. Good on him if he somehow raised money for charity from this tho.

not saying I'm anywhere near being the most fit person on the planet but I did do 6000 pushups in a month (roughly 200 pushups a day in sets of 50) and half way through it I got some tendonitis which got kinda bad by the end of it, took like 3 weeks to fully recover from it. Couldn't fathom doing 2/3rds of that amount in a day.
