I just said my employee his idea was "stupid"

My company had a surplus in net profit recently and I wanted to reinvest it into the company for improvement. I asked all the plebs to submit an idea they think 50,000 should be used for.

The dumbass suggested we use it to put in bamboo flooring and a 20,000 fish tank to spruce things up. I didn't say anything to him so he stepped in my office just to inquire about it.

I let out a big sigh and just said “I’m sorry man but this pitch is just...stupid.”

He just said okay, did a 360 and walked out. I’m really hurtl he didn't understand his idea wouldn't yield any return...

Also, if it is a restaurant, then fancier interiors allow you to raise prices for on account of ******ce and increase profits.

Seems like a decent idea if this is really a Chinese restaurant.
