Air fryer crew, is it worth it?

Im planning to make those frozen fries, tenders, hashbrowns, pizzas, etc. Basically frozen foods that you can find already prepared at target or grocery stores.

Microwaving them makes them soggy and groce, does using an air fryer help with this?

I breaded some chicken breasts last night in mine and made a nice little wrap today for lunch. You can cook ANYTHING in them. Would recommend.

They come out better than microwave or oven for sure, but doesn't even come close to deep frying.

Yes 1000 times over. It’s pretty much an easy bake oven. At a bare minimum get it to reheat leftovers because it makes it crispy as if you just cooked it.

Yes, very convenient...also there are plenty of options besides crap convenience food that you can use it for as well (like Turkey Burgers are something I've used it a lot for).

I have the Ninja foodie xl, no probe though....didn't know. Can confirm, does very well and clean up is easy and not really needed after every use.

keep in mind that air fried food doesn't always taste like deep fried.

just make sure you get a decent one that can hold more than a few strips/wings...etc at a time

OP, get one. I've only had mine a couple months and really only used it for boneless chicken tits so far, but I already love it. Can't wait to cook more stuff with it. 10/10 kitchen gadget for sure.

Yes they are worth it, but technically there is no such thing as air frying as frying is defined as cooking via heated oil. It is legit though.

yes, an air fryer is just a convection oven that circulates air around, there is no actual frying taking place, but it does end up coming out cripsy and browned via maillard reactions.

Can't believe nobody does vegetables in it.

Cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, peppers, sliced sweet potato - coat any of these in olive oil and salt and pepper and air fry for about 10 minutes (longer for sweet potato), they come out crispy and delicious.

Definitely use mine almost every day for all those things. I failed at cooking a whole pizza but it's perfect for left over slices. Actually left overs in the air fryer might actually taste better.

Bacon with some sugar is pretty fukin legit too.

Air fryers arent new or exciting. They are nothing more than a convection oven thats been around for 20-30 years. If you have a convection oven or toaster convection oven an air fryer is a complete waste.

...I have one and they are great for convenience. The nuggets from Costco are a gnats arse from being as good as Chick-Fil-A when cooked in an air fryer.
