Are you IN or OUT of the conversation during family gatherings?
Meaning the interchanges are just between selective relatives and the rest are just silent around the dinner table or family room? It's like why even bother going to these things.

You must have a schitty family. Mine makes an effort to include everyone. If they treated me like that I wouldn't show up either.

This sort of happens anymore my grandmother is at stuff. We love her, but after my grandfather died she doesn't really do much but watch Christian tv. She adamantly has no opinions on other things other than the rapture is coming soon.
