What are some signs your work day is about to be a long one (srs)

Not every day is smooth, and some are hectic AF.. but there are always signs to those days.


Weather.. Any time I head to work and see that there are storms I automatically know that today is gonna be an annoying day. Vectoring traffic, getting ride reports from pilots, the constant requests, annoyed stressed pilots wanting things done their way.. Annoyed people, whether it be coworkers or people you collaborate with can make those days extra rough no matter what career you're in

Going in and seeing the strip bay filled with departure strips in a sector I'm sitting at let's me know I'm gonna be doing a lot of talking, which can make it a long one also.


Hbu misc.. what makes you head to work and instantly know you're in for a long day?

To me, any day where you go and put in a full day's work and only make $108 dollars total is a bad day. $108 a day is about $28k a year.

I had an 8AM to 9AM meeting last week that ran late to 9:40AM, just talking about what a piece of **** I am and how my ****ty version control screwed them up.

My Indian coworker stayed on the line after the call. "WHEW. You just got ****ing trucked."

10AM, and I already knew that day and the next one would be long af.
