If you get happy for winning free cooking pans, does that mean you're old?

Turning 33 soon. Jfl at being happy winning cooking supplies. Is this what being a boomer is all about?
Did not envision my future like this as a kid.
Pans are $50 each so free 100 dollars. Just gotta write a review in return.

I guess, kind of. But not in the sense you think it is. Chit's expensive.
Means you have bills to pay and your priorities have shifted. I wouldn't go out and buy new pans currently, but I'd sure as hell be happy if I got some.
Mainly because that'd free up the cash I would have spent on new pans to buy something that is actually essential.
When you're a kid you imagine all the "fun" parts of your future. You don't imagine the parts that make the "fun" parts possible. My guy, if I told myself I'd be a Texan who spends his weekends out in the sun all day I'd be ecstatic as a kid... But then if I followed that up with "You'll also have a F/T job and it WON'T be a cool one." I'd be upset.
But you eventually realize life is all about figuring out how to maximize your time and sometimes you have to do things that suck to maximize it.

Yes, this is what you have to look forward to. I was excited when I bought a nice sprinkler for my lawn. It's all metal and easy to adjust.

To a young person, yeah it's fukkin lame. To anyone who has their own place, that chit is a god send. Hell if someone bought me new spoons I'd be thrilled. Now we're talking about pans? Oh lawd I'm sweating rn. Kind of like when you were a kid and you hated getting clothes for Christmas, and then when you're slumming it out in college, underwear and socks as a gift were priceless.

"Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is it’s not an adventure. There’s no way to do it so wrong you might die. It’s just work. And the bottom line is, some people are okay going to work, and some people … well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose.”
