Portland officials are begging people to visit their city.

Travel Portland buys huge NYT ad to lure visitors to city plagued by unrest.

Tourism officials in Portland took out a full-page ad in the New York Times to urge visitors to come to the northwest destination despite the continued unrest — insisting that they have “faith in the future” of the besieged city.

Tourism nonprofit Travel Portland appeared to cryptically reference the violent and ongoing protests that have garnered national media attention.

“You’ve heard a lot about us lately. It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us,” the advertisement read.

“Some of what you’ve heard about Portland is true. Some is not. What’s most important is that we’re true to ourselves.”

Julio Rosas, who is a senior writer for news site Townhall, said on Tuesday said it was “unfortunate” that tourism officials need to beg visitors to come.

“There’s a reason why I only go to Portland for work and not for any vacation,” he told Fox News.


“This is unfortunate that they’re having to resort to beg people to come to the city because the fact remains that Portland is prone to riots on top of the crime wave that a lot of other cities are experiencing. And so obviously people are gonna be hesitant to come to the city and that’s just because the city officials, at a minimum, tolerated the riots and at worst they did encourage some of them at certain points last year.”

To be fair Portland was awesome when I visited about 15 years ago. Went back 2 years ago on business and have no intention of going back. Essentially the same with NYC

Fortunately, Portland is the hub base for the Liberals lunacy and the fact that outside of that no one cares about them, they stay to one place.

If any of those nutcases left Portland's walls, they'd be in for a rude awakening when they realize no one outside Portland cares about them.

In fact, anywhere outside Portland and these people would get their asses handed to them, serious.

I went out to Damascus where my cousin's live (about 15-30min out of Portland) and none of the stores there enforce masks anymore.

Went into Safeway and caught the tail end of the dispute, but some soyboy was about to get his ass cheeks clapped after getting in someone's face about them not wearing a mask.

Soyboy gets kicked out of the store for harassment, but said it was unjust because masks are still required - manager tells him to go to a store then that has them lol.

That's why these soy boys/girls never leave Portland because they can't virtue signal outside of Portland because no one there cares.

A random funny story I remembered. In the Seattle airport the Portland and Medford OR flights were at gates next to each other. This blue haired chick wearing a BLM shirt and the whole 9 was at the Medford gate. Someone actually went up to her and told her she was at the wrong gate and the Portland flight was next door. I about died laughing. Couldn’t believe hearing that in Seattle.
