You don't think about how much of life revolves around food until you're cutting

Even worse on OMAD.

hang out with friends - coffee, snacks, meal
date in a restaurant - drinks, food
wake up - breakfast, chit, start thinking about what to make for lunch.
lunch - finish eating, start thinking about what to eat for dinner.
in between meals - think about what to snack on.
go to a party - finger foods galore, chips & salsa etc.
travel to a new place - let's go to all the best local restaurants
business lunch - have food
watch football(euro2020) in the local pub - chicken wings & beers
have a date night with ye bird - what food to get
want to have a night in - what food to order

Then a cut comes in where you've slipped in your desired macros or meal preps and you suddenly can't do these things. Just for the price of lookin peeled off the teets.

Why eat food when it’s all about the face?

this is why OMAD sucks ...sounds great on paper but having to literally stuff all your calories into face in one meal is disordered eating ....and who is gonna do that for life

That is why I never counted calories, weighed food, calculated portion sizes or kept a food log. It's on the obsessive side and not a good habit to get into.

Always a new perspective helps you to improve your life.

As long as you keep in mind that ultimately you are the one who decides what's best for you.

Good luck, my old friend!!

thats how you ascend though. the gains i make while actually weighing every little thing even oil amounts and making sure i'm getting enough protein each nutrient etc mogs gains while not counting.

+ there is a bit of fun in it for a while. but yeah hard to sustain. should be done for a cut though imo.
fictional account.

I've always had a good amount of body confidence and I've always been on the lean side, so it's just "easier" to focus on eating nutritiously and conditioning... That's the "athlete" in me. I've loved focusing on training and I've found the diet/food part boring, so to speak.

I try to eat steamed foods instead of using hydrogenated oils. Still tastes good to me.

I'm never (either or) on a formal bulk or cut. I just lift and train (athletic conditioning). It's a little different 'cause I choose not to compete. If I was trying to compete, then I'd have to be stricter.

This

The people who try to call it disordered eating or obsessive are just mad they can’t mentally handle the sacrifice.

It’s easier to label it with those negative associations.

It’s all perspective. Obese people are probably staring at you saying going to the gym 5 times a week is obsessive too.

It’d be one thing if it didn’t lead to better results. And before intuitive eaters think they get the same results as tracking you don’t. You can still get results, but don’t pretend they’ll be as good as calorie counting and staying on point. That’s nonsense and cope.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

OMAD isn't smart, better distribute your protein intake throughout the day
