Amazed at how bad the car market is right now

Went to look at new vehicles, brb all the lots are near empty, brb msrp raised by dealerships, brb ordering a vehicle takes 3+months, brb used vehicles are extremely overpriced

Srs, finally feel like I’m ready to buy a good vehicle because I have a steady good job and the market is chit. My car is having issues and don’t want to drop $1600 to fix it, which is why I’m mainly looking.

Go private party route, where you can still pickup a good, lightly used car for a decent price. Keep an eye on local craigslist, fb marketplace, etc.

It’s because all the cryptominercels caused a chip shortage so you have a surplus of cars off the manufacture line sitting in lots that can run because the onboard computer needs a processing chip

Heard from a friend in manufacturing that things aren't looking good in the future either. Like it may last for 2 years or so.

Of course that's all rumors but definitely won't change by christmas. Ports are too backed up.

Yeah I read some articles that say maybe end of 2022 so your friend is probably right unfortunately.
