This past Friday afternoon I was working from home and prepping for a meeting before we left to go out of town. My GF is packing and doing laundry and walks up and asks me something along the lines of " what are these? / whose are these?" ...."because they are not mine" as she is holding women's underwear. Immediately in my head I was like "ah f*ck me!" I was like I honestly have no clue, but they are not mine nor do I have any connect to them. This is just my type of luck to be honest.

I have been dating her for 2 years now, she's lived with me for the last year and I have not cheated or done anything remotely close to being unfaithful. So what the hell is going on? I start thinking about all of the possibilities, could they be one of her friends, from one of the parties I have thrown, from someone staying over, etc. I'm stuck in a hard place having to defend myself for something I didn't do but also don't want to go down a rabbit hole of making excuses or trying to think of ways they showed up in the laundry. So I spent the next 90 minutes getting grilled and had to explain I have no damn clue where these came from. What a sh*tty position to be in.

I eventually got her to calm down and she believed me to an extent. But her mind was going the entire weekend and I would get random questions from here confirming I have not cheated, that I am faithful, and that I am still wanting to be with her etc etc etc.

I can think back to multiple occasions in my life where this type of stuff happens to me way too frequently (being blamed for something I didn't do). It's a terrible feeling knowing you didn't do anything, yet the cards are stacked against you and you gotta dig your way out.


TLDR:
- GF of 2 years found women's underwear that did not belong to her
- I did not cheat and have no clue where they came form (I thought of everything)
- GF was super pissed, but has calmed down a bit. Still having some trust issues
