Declining birth rates are directly tied to the education rates of women.
Happens exactly the same way in every country. It's not really a bad thing I guess if you don't need 9 kids to work the farm, and half of them end up dying. Even if you are a farmer, you have machines and chit.
In terms of climate change, the consumer choices pale in comparison to emissions from manufacturers.
Corporations want to put the blame on you though, it's good PR and good marketing as well.
You pay a premium for green products and green marketing.
The public does not stop to think that corporations are causing all of it, which is bad for profit margins.

Dont forget micro plastics entering the food chain (literally) to the point where some studies show plankton are 10-20% plastic. Or plastics leeching into our water/food through contact, which reduces test and correlates beautifully with the fertility rates declining around the time plastic was invented.

Veganism means great reduction to global warming and saving huge amounts of crops, water and land and thus no need to reduce population growth
