Do you respect veterans in public?

Some old ass G was at the grocery store behind me asking to be let ahead cuz he was a veteran. of course the 2 behind me say sure then awkwardly get out the way (he had weak wheelchair skills - plus they were thanking him and trying to shake his hand/pat his back, LOL). we meet eyes and im like hey and hes like hey sir can i get ahead and im like have you ever seen combat? and he gets all quiet then is like n... no. What did you do i ask? he said he was a medic. i lol to myself thinking aka male nurse. then i just turned my back to him and went on my business.

THEN when i was on my way out i heard him asking for a discount and the cashier was like i dont have the authority (lol what a cuck!!)

No, how would I know they are vets in public tho?

If they advertise they are vets its cringe as fuk.

If they are in uniform I treat them like any fuking human I interact with, nobody deserves special treatment

only older ones. any "vet" 50 and younger just did it for the benefits and likely lie to the govt about their disability

50+ vets did it for the sheer love of the country.

This. I don’t thank anyone for their service and I don’t want anyone to thank me. I specifically try not to advertise my service.
