the vaccine creators were even saying that the only reason the vaccines work is because the immune response seems to last a long time for covid.
when they started this whole thing last spring, it was just 2 more weeks of shutdown so the hospitals have capacity. Then when the hospitals had capacity the goalpost was moved to "we have to prevent any and ALL cases of covid" which is an impossible goal to meet so hence we were in perpetual lockdown. Then it was "we will shutdown until there is a cure" then when the vaccine came out it was "we wills stay shutdown and use masks until an arbitrary percentage of the population is vaccinated" now that everyone who wanted the vaccine has had it now its the "der her guys deadly new variant out now, lets attack everyone that didnt get the vaccine"
You also have doctors on the MSM saying that immunity from the vaccine could last years. They will have to pull those stories when it comes time in the fall for the "booster shot". Next go around they will do better tracking that those paper cards of who had the vaccine, it will be a digital system tied to your ID. The paper cards were to ease peopel into it. Now that the idea of tracking and willingly giving up your medical information to earn back the god given rights you used to have like being able to walk down the street, purchase food and goods, ect has been normalized they will move on to the next phase.

BTW..In the history of virology, there has never, EVER, been a viral mutation that resulted in a virus that was MORE lethal. As viruses mutate, they become more contagious/transmissible and LESS lethal
