Is sobriety the actual truth?

Been taking a bit of a sober path for some 16 months, and it's really opened my eyes to everything.

I've been questioning if alcohol really made my life any better, or if it was just an excuse.

On one hand you need dedication to make gym gains, and drinking yourself stupid won't help the process.

Am I missing anything by not drinking though other than actual company?

alcohol is poison (srs)

only use it to drink socially and occasionally, and in moderation (generally)

It's the truth and the light. Eat right and treat your body well - it goes a long way. When you start to age you'll thank yourself for being responsible. *******.

Alcohol fools a lot of people. They think it helps them when they feel down because it temporarily lifts their mood, but they don't notice that after it wears off, they're more depressed than they would have been if they had just dealt with their problems sober the entire time.
