Now every time i dont get my way i get very evil srs, i always feel like a demon and get very evil thoughts like murdering people and being a pos to others like being cruel and thinking i should laugh and spit on their dead corpse and taking enjoyment in being shallow like thinking they are extremely ugly (even if they arent) etc especially the ones that i felt wronged me and in these times i feel like a beast is unleashed and comes out. I feel extremely strong and powerful but its pure madness

When it subsides i feel extreme guilt and feel like an abomination. Its like it wasnt even me during these times of rage.i hate it so much

As ive gotten closer to god in the past year or 2 and my faith is high i always apologize to god for having these thoughts but it feels out of my control at those times

In my opinion and personal experience the 'spiritual realm' and anything that manifests itself in there is real. Your physical senses might not operate on the same frequency so it's not tangible or perceived in a material way. But I do believe the subconscious and soul are connected to it. So good and bad thoughts or actions do affect your presence in that realm.

It's said and believed in Christian theology that sinning or holding evil thoughts gives negative entities [demons, evil spirits] legal rights to manifest themselves in your psyche and exert power over you. The more control this negativity has over you, the more evil thoughts and less self control you have over them.

Therefore in my opinion, it's very important to self reflect on these thoughts with logic and find ways to cleanse yourself from them. i.e: counter the evil thoughts with good ones, express gratitude and love in strife etc. That way you allow yourself to grow morally and guard yourself from these 'entities' or negative energy or whatever you want to call it.

That's why prayer and meditation is important in spirtual/religious circles. It's literally training and guarding yourself by practicing self control.

No. They are genetic and environmental. People in biblical times explained them as demons because they didn't have the knowledge we have now.

I have mental illness and it doesn't feel "evil" at all. It's just a product of my genetics (family also had it) and my environment that I choose to be in (sexless marriage, high-stress job) plus sexual abuse.

I'm not even sure evil exists. Selfishness and bizarre behavior exist. Evil is just a word we make up to describe really deviant and harmful behaviors. I sincerely doubt most classically evil people worship evil. They are just really selfish and have bizarre behaviors. Guys like Jeffrey Dahmer and Hitler probably didn't do what they did for the sake of evil itself. They probably did it because they were a few fries short of a happy meal. A person whose brain isn't capable of empathy or following rules could be called "evil" even though that person is really just a very complex machine with bizarre behaviors we would consider harmful to society. Also some guys like Hitler seem to have been convinced they were "good".

OP these beliefs are basically what old, less educated, civilizations thought. If someone had bipolar disorder, or any of the more visible symptom showing mental ailments they thought those people were afflicted by a spirit, demon, entity, etc.

I believe things can be dangerous or bad. I am an atheist though. I do not believe there is some mythical super natural reason for bad things happening/people being bad /sick. I have a had a client killed by their ex wife’s boyfriend because she lost custody for selling her 15 year old daughter out for pills… I have seen a lot of messed up things and been through them, but it’s not demonic
