I'm halfway through 30 and this is what I've noticed/learned...
With my birthday next month I'm a little closer to 40 which seems really odd when I think about it, but I've noticed a few things in my 30's that I might share.
1. Responsibility is a thing of choice if you want it. If you want to get married, have kids, buy a house you can -- but you don't have to.
2. It's good to have a career by the time you turn 30 to stop worrying about finances or even job security.
3. Dating pool at 30/past 30 is dangerous territory for a man because any woman over 30 is looking to rope him in for kids, it'll happen. If you're young at heart, chase younger women.
4. Exercise is key to staying youthful, I still like doing deadlifts and squats -- I warm up extensively and have little to no pain after those movements.
5. Friends wise you might lose a few or a ton because either you're busy or you simply get burned out of doing things (like drinking, etc)
6. Hobbies change, a lot of 30 something's play a lot of sand volleyball, or do yoga -- but that's about as far as it goes for actual exercise.
7. No one's forcing you to act your age or even dress your age -- so never feel pressured to.
8. If you realize that you're different from your peers that's fine, you might have a different life path or different outcome than them.

Repping Op. 30 this year for me, and seems what I expect
Agree 100% on dating aspect. Any woman really after 28 knows the writing on the wall and is dating with intent. But I know 35 year old guys with it together who have no problem dating girls in mid 20s. But older you get , the worse the dating pool generally is. If you’re single at a certain age it isn’t often by choice
Also sad to see friends and others just stop caring for bodies too. Nothing ages you quicker than not being active and eating crap. I do sand volleyball and my less fit friends after a game need to take 2 days of rest from being sore. Meanwhile I view an evening of volleyball as an active rest
Be the 65 year old still running half marathons, white water rafting, hiking, etc and stay young. So many people are 30 and are already rotting

38. Married and 2 boys age 5 and 2. Can confirm. Can still go get it, but it's different. Lift in garage and kids get in way though learn how to be active. We are doing the fire towers in the Adirondacks this summer, starting t-ball. Priorities change but stay. Was LEO for 12 years then moved, went back to school and now in new career. How sht turns out and wouldn't change a thing. My true job is to raise 80s-90s era alpha males.

You’re 3 years past the halfway point hate to tell you lol

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

My 30’s were the best of times, they were the worst of times.
Got in the best shape of my life.
Started running.
Got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Started racing motorcycles on the track.
Wrecked and almost died.
Had to learn how to walk again.
Fell back out of shape got fat.
Got depressed and almost killed myself.
Started a comeback.
41 now benching 185, lost a ton of weight.
Back to running 2 miles.
40’s will be the epic comeback of all time.
I’ll shatter my own records.

Are people lonely and desperate or something?
People really need to figure out what they want in a marriage first. Jesus Christ!

Repped for good post. I have other observations as well.
Biggest one is its funny how right my dad was about getting older. You really are quite dumb in teens/early 20s. You need experience to know this. Only advantage younger brahs have is being quick with new techs.

I noticed the majority of my good friends and I have next to no drama anymore and can talk about much deeper things, listen, and reflect way better than in our 20s.

The Key to 30s is fitness. I'm nearly 37 and Run a lot more than lift but still run. It changes everything and compliments everything. So many guys are fat and unhealthy in this day and age it makes a big difference. I don't live with my kids but it's not hard to go for a 5 mile run at night when the kids are asleep.

Problem is you don't fully get to know someone or what they're like until later and realize you're not match.
